Character Building

As the child places one block on another and seeks to build a house, each believer should apply the Word of God to their lives.  For God was and is:

• Kind

• Compassionate

• Diligent

• Caring

• Committed

• Caring… and more

As a Christian, one is to be like the Lord as He fills our life (mind, heart) with His love for others and our desires to do right on all occasions.  It is easy to overlook personal sin and condemn others for the same things.  It might be well to take some time now to check your life to see if the character of Christ is being demonstrated in your conduct or not. Charles M. Sheldon wrote the book, In His Steps, a few years ago, which is a great reminder to live and respond like our Lord.

Prayer: Lord, show me the things in my life that need to be changed or removed so I can be more like You.
