Happy in the Lord

Every day, people search for happiness and peace. But for many, the search is worthless for they are looking for this peace and contentment in the things of this world.  The search is empty as happiness in this world is only temporary as real happiness is in the Lord.  He meets one’s needs as He knows what is best and leads those who follow on the right path (Psalm 23:1-6). His way does not always seem good to His followers… but as they follow Him and do His will He gives a peace that only He can provide (Philippians 4:7). It is not that one should not have the blessings of this world but they should not trust in them to bring happiness (which is contentment that lasts).  As one searches for happiness, one must come to God, do right, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
