It’s on Your Face

Proverbs 15:13-15, 26, Psalms 51:10, Proverbs 21:2, Matthew 15:19, Philippians 4:7, Matthew 12:33-35, Psalms 139:23-24

What is in the heart is soon to show up on the face.  Many times people think they can hold something in their heart and no one will know.  However, we are reminded in the scriptures that the thoughts, desires, intents, and plans that are held in one’s heart soon will show up in both their facial expressions and how one responds to a given situation.  If a person regards bitterness, jealousy, envy, unforgiveness, or resentment (and like sins) in their heart, their words and responses are greatly affected.  Jesus reminds His listeners often about checking the heart (inner person) lest their life would soon be contaminated.  It is God’s plan that believers often stop and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what is really in one’s heart.

Prayer: Lord, remind me now what is really in my heart and guide me in obeying Your Word and being and honor to Your name.
