Behave

Psalms 101:1-8, Ephesians 4:1-3, Colossians 3:1-9, Matthew 6:33, I Samuel 15:22

Often a parent reminds their children to behave.  So our Lord tells His children to behave which is to act, speak and respond as a child of the Lord.  We are instructed in the Bible that obedience to the Lord and living each day as He decides is vitally important ( I Samuel 15:22).

To live this way the believer needs to:

  • Check their heart regularly (Matthew 12:34)

  • Admit, confess and remove sins (I John 1:9)

  • Clear out the inner person (I Corinthians 7:1)

  • Pray for wisdom to obey the Lord in all ways (James 1:5)

  • Allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through the life (Galatians 5:22-23)

  • Make the Bible one’s guide and rule book for life (II Timothy 2:15)

  • Hide the Bible in the mind (Psalms 119:11)

Much can be concluded about a person on how they act, live, respond and behave.

Prayer: Lord, I give myself to Your leading. Guide and use me today as You choose.
