Starting the Day

Colossians 3:12, Isaiah 26:3, 40:31, Proverbs 3:5-6, II Corinthians 10:5

As one gets out of bed to begin a new day, it is crucial to set their mind, thoughts, life, and inner person on Biblical thoughts. Pushing aside the problems and challenges they may face and think about the:

  • Blessings of God

  • Direction of God

  • Provisions of God

  • Power of God

  • Mind of God

  • Mercies of God

What is in the mind directs the life and determines how one lives the day.  Therefore, the mind (heart/inner person) must be adjusted and focused on the Lord. One’s focus determines how one will live.  A trap of the enemy is to lure believers to focus on and follow destructive thoughts rather that setting one’s attention and mind on the Lord.  It is best to start the day meditating on all that God has done and comforting life in the promises of God.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for all I have. Open the eyes of my soul to see You and Your ways more clearly and make this day a masterpiece in honor of Your word and way.
