A Merry Heart

Proverbs 14:30, 15:13, 15, 30, Proverbs 17:22, 18:14, Romans 12:1-2, II Corinthians 5:17

Mankind today is searching and trying many ways to be happy and have a merry heart, only to find themselves at a dead-end street when they leave the Lord out of the picture. It is imperative that one becomes a new person in Christ and then obediently follow the Bible to enjoy the blessings of the abundant life one has in Christ. In order for a follower of Christ to have a merry heart they must:

  • Meditate in and on the Bible regularly. Psalms 1:1-3

  • Be thankful. I Thessalonians 5:18

  • Confess the sin of self-pity and trust in the Lord for all things.

  • Think good, godly and positive thoughts. Philippians 4:8

  • Invest in others. Luke 10:30-37

  • Count your blessing. Psalms 104:33-34

  • Determine to speak good and godly words. Ephesians 4:29

  • Obey the Bible and have a clean heart. II Corinthians 7:1

  • Rejoice in the Lord; Philippians 4:4

  • Pray and obey the Bible. James 1:22

Want a merry heart? Walk close to the Lord and in His Word and He will do a supernatural work in you.

Prayer: Lord, guide me to walk and live in obedience to You and the Bible.

Project: List your blessings and the people that you will tell that you are grateful.
