God is Our Refuge

Psalms 18:2, 30, 5:11, 40:1-3, Proverbs 14:26, II Samuel 22:3-4

Often an animal hurries to hide in a tree, under a pile of rocks, or in other places to get out of the reach of one who is after it. So it is for one who trusts the Lord. They can run to Him for protection and refuge in times of struggle or challenge. The songwriter has penned, “Under His Wings” as a great reminder that the believer can go to their Lord for protection and refuge. God alone answers the questions of life and gives protection to those who trust Him. Pslam 23:1-6 reminds us that He guards and gives protection, wisdom, and comfort to His own as the Great Shepherd. So, we can run to our Lord and He will do what only He can do in the time of need.

Prayer: God, I praise You for protection and care as I hide in You and trust You to be my refuge.

Project: List the current people and circumstances where you have sought refuge and consider the difference between these people and the God of creation.
