A Firm Foundation

Psalms 61:2, Matthew 7:24-27, II Timothy 3:16, Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10

The foundation is always of great importance.  Some have tried to rely on a questionable foundation and whether it is a building or life, the foundation has turned out to be most critical.  For when the building or life is built on the wrong foundation countless problems are created.  It is important that each day a believer adds more of the presence of Christ and the trust of God’s word so the life is strengthened for the impact of daily living. One’s spiritual foundation of life is built daily by:

• Bible reading, meditation, and applying the Word to life

• Prayer: listening and talking to God

• Obedience to the Word and leading of the Holy Spirit

One may not recognize the spiritual strengthening of these daily disciplines but the presence, power, and ways of God are being built and becoming stronger each day.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the spiritual strength that You are to me each day.
