Financial Manager

Job Description:

Manage various processes that relate to the finances of the ministry - bookkeeping, donation processing, expense reconciliation, payroll, taxes

Personal Expectations:

  1. Committed to Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him

  2. Be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of Encounter Revival Ministries

  3. Willing to raise personal support to meet financial needs while employed with the ministry

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare payroll for staff on a monthly basis

  2. Record and reconcile expenses on a weekly basis

  3. Assist supporters with various needs related to our donation processes

  4. Able to work with the CPA of Encounter of tax-related issues

Desired Goals and Outcomes:

  1. Ensure the financial actions of the ministry are accurate, legal, and secure

  2. Ensure the ministries finances remain ethically “above reproach” and faithful to the donors intentions

  3. Maintain strong communication with donors on the receipt and impact of their donations

  4. Provide reliable payroll services to provide our staff with their expected monthly support

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Basic knowledge of Quickbooks

  2. Legal knowledge and experience with government requirements for non-profits

  3. Mature in conduct - strong communicator - creative problem solver - service minded

Accountability:

In addition to being accountable to God and the ERM Board of Directors, the Financial Manager is specifically accountable to the Organizational Administrator for ministry performance.
