Maintenance Personnel
Job Description:
Oversee the repairs and upkeep of various buildings, vehicles and equipment on the camp property as well as managing various landscaping duties on the grounds.
Personal Expectations:
Committed to Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.
Be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of Encounter Revival Ministries.
Willing to raise support to meet personal financial needs while employed with the ministry.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with our current Maintenance Director, assisting him in various projects and learning the needs of the property.
Searching out and performing minor fixes (i.e. repairing doorknobs, damage to walls, leaks, replacing lightbulbs, etc.)
Perform scheduled building tours and equipment inspections
Maintain grounds - (i.e. grass mowing, weed-whacking, mulch, branches, snow removal, etc.)
Identifying maintenance/repair needs and seeking out the most effective and efficient contractor if need cannot be remedied in-house.
Desired Goals and Outcomes:
“Proactive Maintenance” - Exercising a habit to check in and stay updated on the condition of buildings and equipment in an effort to find areas of concern before damage has occurred.
Maintaining the property as an attractive, comfortable and safe place for all guests and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some knowledge and experience in trades or maintenance related skills (i.e. landscaping, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
A desire and flexibility to serve others and eagerly address requests/needs as they arise.
Organized and able to prioritize and keep track of multiple maintenance needs until they are properly completed.
Mature in conduct - strong communicator - creative problem solver - service minded
Accountability:
In addition to being accountable to God and the ERM Board of Directors, the maintenance position is specifically accountable to the Camp Director for ministry performance.
