Strength For Today In God

Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 3:5-6, II Corinthians 12:9, John 16:33, I Peter 5:7, Joshua 1:8-9

The daylight is clear but it seems like all is darkness. The mountains that are before are higher than one can climb and conquer. The list of problems seems longer and more involved than any solutions. One feels like they are in the middle of a huge field with no way out and loneliness eats away at the soul robbing of sleep and peace. Yet the Word of God gives courage, strength, joy, and peace as one is reminded of the presence and power of God. It is in the dark hours of trial that the believer must:

• Trust the Lord - Romans 8:28

• Be courageous in the Lord - Joshua 1:8-9

• Do right - James 1:22

• Keep going - Philippians 3:13-14

• Anchor their thoughts in the Lord - Isaiah 26:3

In the dark hours of challenge and struggle the Lord gives what only He can give and works in mysterious ways (Philippians 4:6-7).

Prayer: Thank You Lord for strength for today.
