Trust God In The Dark
Isaiah 40:31, Psalms 27:14, 37:1-8, 41:11, Romans 5:3-5, II Corinthians 12:9
Many times in life one is faced with challenges that seem more than one can bear. Whether it is the loss of a job, funds, a loved one, or a personal struggle that one did not see coming. It is in these times that the obedient and careful follower of the Lord learns again of His presence, power, courage, and wisdom. During these hard times, whether it be in the physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual the followers of Christ are reminded of God’s sustaining strength. Yes, discouragement, problems, darkness, hurt, and pain will come but when one trusts God and obeys His Word, “joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). it is in the obstacles and challenges of life that the children of God learn more of their Lord and what He is teaching as the heart (inner person) is revealed and changed. In Romans 3:1-5 one is instructed to rejoice in the difficulties of life as much is learned about God and self in these hours as He continues to work in the affairs of His children.
Prayer: God, I do trust You during this dark time and desire to learn more of Your ways to be Your servant.
