It has been proven time and time again that there is a great connection between what one harbor in their heart (inner person) and what is happening in the physical aspect of life. In the Bible, king Saul is a good example of holding envy, jealousy, and hatred in the heart. The Bible teaches us that King Saul was a great man, skilled in battle, and a great leader of men. However, his life journey took a downhill spiral as his envy and jealousy of David controlled his life and this eventually led him to a cruel death. Envy, jealousy, and the like have a great effect on a person as it seeps into all areas of life. Until one deal with these matters Biblically they are going to be in agony which leads to saying and doing things that leave great regret and problems. It is so important and critical to the abundant life that the believer is very careful about what they hold in their heart and mind. One should not let envy, jealousy, and the like control the mind for this will ruin one’s life and leave a great impact on others.
Prayer: Lord, help me to see that all that matters is if I am right with You.
