It brings great joy to the heart and life when a person invests to help people in need. The apostle Paul reminds believers that they should have the mind of Christ who gave Himself to deliver sinful mankind, was born at a lowly place, and give Himself to meet the heart need of all people (rich and poor). In a world where the rich often look down and condemn the poor, the followers of Christ think and respond as a “new creature” in Christ. As the believer opens their life and hand to help others they are more like Christ who did the same. It is not the rich to judge the poor since God is the Judge of all mankind. It is better to function as God’s representative than to set oneself up as the judge of others for it is only God who knows the heart. Great refreshing and blessings occur as one obeys in reaching out to help the needy
Prayer: Lord, cleanse my heart from prejudice and judging so that I can be Your hand of love to those in need.
