When it is Dark
Isaiah 26:3, Psalms 27:14 41:11, 55:22, Proverbs 3:5-6, II Corinthians 4:16-18, 12:9, 4:6, Ephesians 6:12
In the journey of life, there are times of challenge, trouble, and darkness. Many in this world speak words of condemnation toward the Lord for darkness and trouble. However, the believer knows that God is in control and that He does what is best. Much of life is an uphill climb but the believer:
Has the Bible for direction
Prays for wisdom from God
Anchors their life in the promises of God
Knows that God will never leave
Is settled in the truth of God’s care (and much more).
It is the light of living in obedience to the Word and the power of Christ’s presence that a believer has the joy of making a godly impact on their world. Yes, even when it is dark, Christ gives light to the heart and refreshes the soul. In this world of trouble, pain, challenge, and darkness it is the great joy of the believer to live in the light of Christ.
Maybe you know a believer today that needs to be reminded of the presence, power, and love of Christ and it will bring great joy as you remind them of this truth now.
Prayer: Oh, Lord, thank You for being my light even in dark times and guiding me to people who need to be reminded of this great stabilizing truth today.
