Be Responsible

The believers have many great opportunities to be faithful to the Lord.  It is easy for a person to slide into despair and depression if they are not concerned about being faithful to God and showing His love to others.  As one sits in the corner thinking about all their problems, troubles, pains, and challenges… they are easily drawn away from praising and thanking the Lord for His rich and continued blessings.  As the songwriter penned years ago, “count your blessings, name them one by one.” It is the person who does not count their blessings that is headed for discouragement and depression.  It is refreshing to the soul to review the blessings that God has given.  It also is refreshing to the inner person to reach out and help others as God sees and knows the ways of mankind.  One must live as unto the Lord being faithful and obedient to the entire Word of God.

Prayer: Forgive me Lord for being unthankful and depressed. I do rejoice that You are refreshing my soul as I meditate on all that You have done for me and reach out to help others.
