Attitude Adjustments

Romans 12:1-2, Matthew 6:33, Philippians 2:14-15, Psalms 46:10, Colossians 3:-2, Romans 8:28

When one awakens in the morning they are usually faced with challenges and problems from the preceding day. If one is not careful they soon slip into an attitude of regret and complaining which affects their words and actions. It is true that one has problems, pains, and challenges each day but the wise and effective believer makes the necessary spiritual attitude adjustments before they turn into words and action. As the songwriter Fanny Crosby penned many years ago, “blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, oh what a foretaste of glory divine.” Yes, we all have problems, hurts, and challenges but it is the one that rejoices in the Lord and gives thanks to Him that has “perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest.” So, before one endeavor to tackle the challenges of the day, it is best to make a spiritual attitude adjustment.

Prayer: Lord, guide me to focus on the good things of life and rest in Your grace and strength today.
