Check It
Matthew 6:21, Proverbs 3:5, 4:23, 23:26, Psalms 51:10, 73:26, Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:7
When one has a doctor’s appointment, the first thing that takes place is checking the heart and blood pressure. So, how is your heart today? Well, of course, it is beating but as a believer, one must be careful what they allow to enter and stay in the heart. For one’s heart can become:
Hardened and unresponsive to God
Focused on worldly pleasures and ignoring the Word of God
Filled with private sins
Overcome with sins such as bitterness, anger, jealousy, and the like
It is vitally important to regularly check one’s heart (inner person) to live in obedience to the Word and have the blessings of the Lord. So, really, how’s your heart?
Prayer: God, show me anything in my heart that is hindering me from being the person You desire today.
