So Why Do You Go To Church?

Many times our Lord spoke to the Pharisees about their conduct.  He reminded them that they should not put on a show to make an impression on others.  As we come to another Sunday and time that is set aside for church attendance, it would be wise to check our motives and reasons for going to church.  Too often we are more concerned about what others see in our life than what God knows is true.  So in the time we are quiet and in the spirit of worship, we must be careful to listen and obey the leading of our Lord.

The few minutes we are in church should be a time of worship, listening to God as He urges us through the Holy Spirit about that which is important and needs obedience in our lives. Be careful not to waste or misuse the quietness of the worship atmosphere in church today.  God’s desire is to bring the believer closer to Him in thought, behavior, word, and life in general.
