Another Gift

James 1:17, Ephesians 1:3-4, Luke 12:48, II Corinthians 9:15, Ephesians 2:8, Romans 6:23, John 4:10

Each time a gift is given there is some excitement in the soul.  It is with great anticipation that one’s heart almost stops while they are opening the gift.  Well, we have another wonderful gift and that is today.  The Lord has given each one this undeserved gift of today. One would not throw away a gift in the trash, so one must be careful os the gift of today is used to honor the Lord. It would be great to begin considering the blessings of today by:

• Thanking the Lord for another day - I Thessalonians 5:18

• Surrendering and committing all to Him - Proverbs 16:3

• Obeying and following His leading today - Galatians 5:16

• Determining to be a useable vessel in God’s hand today - II Timothy 2:21

As you open this unique gift of “today” be very careful for it will soon be gone and whatever you do with it will affect many people.  It would be wise to pray for wisdom and then make a list of how to desire to use this gift of “today”.

Prayer: Lord, give me Your wisdom to effectively use this great gift of another day that You have chosen to provide me with.
