Joy
Philippians 4:4, Romans 5:13, Galatians 5:22-23, John 16:2, Romans 14:17, II Corinthians 12:8-10
In this world of negative news, problems, financial strain, and physical deterioration it is the opportunity of the followers of Christ to demonstrate the joy that only Christ can give. It is true, that problems do not vanish but in Christ’s children have joy that only He can be and give. The joy of the Lord shines as a great light in this dark world and draws others to the new life they can have in the Lord. The joy of the Lord in the challenges of life attracts people's attention as we journey through life. The Apostle Paul, in Philippians 4:7, calls it the “peace of God which passes all understanding.” In this world where there is little peace and not much hope, the followers of Christ have the great joy of demonstrating the work of Christ in their life to people who are searching for hope and peace.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the joy and peace You are to me. Guide me to sow Your presence and power to my world today.
