Set A Watch
Psalms 141:3, Psalms 19:14, Ephesians 4:29, Matthew 5:13-16, Proverbs 25:11
The one thing that most people do a great portion of each day is to talk. Therefore, one must be careful what is said, when it is spoken, and to whom one speaks. Many blessings and joys can be shared in words spoken as hearts can be lifted as caring words are given to the burdened. Of the many goals and projects one sets for each day, words are so critically important. People are encouraged, blessed, lifted, helped, and guided in many ways by one speaking the right words at the right time. However, one must remember that people are also hurt, embarrassed, discouraged, and frustrated over words spoken. So, each day it is good to pray for guidance, wisdom, and caution in speaking so that one may encourage and help others. If one is reminded that they have spoken words of embarrassment, hurt, or the like to others that should not have been spoken, it is Biblical obedience to seek forgiveness.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to be cautious in what I say today so that I would honor You and be a help to others.
