Romans 8:28-39, Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalms 20:7, 37:3-5, Jeremiah 29:11, Joshua 1:9
As one journeys through life, they are confronted with many defining moments. These are times when events and people come into a life unknown and often unplanned as agents of God to make, train, lead, or guide His children. Often these defining moments are major events that one must think about carefully and then decide God’s leading. God often allows and brings “defining moments” into our life to:
Make us think about what we are saying or doing
Stop one from going in the wrong direction
Challenge one to think carefully about where they are now
Set one’s attention in a new direction
Show new opportunities
Point out an area that needs to be adjusted in our life
Bible personalities who had defining moments are Moses, David, Peter, Noah, Daniel, Ruth, the Apostle Paul, and many more as God worked in their life. It is vitally important that close attention and obedience are given to God in these moments to continue in His will and way.
Prayer: Lord, I am listening to Your voice in this defining moment help me to hear and know Your will.
