The Armor of God

I Thessalonians 5:8, Hebrews 4:12, II Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians 6:10-18

In many athletic events, the participants wear clothing of armor to protect themselves against the attacks of the opposing players.  In the everyday journey of life, the wise and sensitive follower of Christ puts on the armor of God for wisdom, protection, and provision.  It is important that believers put on the armor of God daily because:

  • The enemy seeks to destroy and deceive

  • It is easy to be distracted by things not pleasing to the Lord

  • Disgrace and dishonor is often displayed if living disobediently to the Lord

  • A person is often lured onto the wrong path of life

It is in reading and obeying the Bible that the armor of God protects from evil and guides to living for the Lord. 

Each day it is essential to:

  • Read the Bible

  • Mediate in and on the Word of God

  • Apply it to one’s life

  • Pray for wisdom and guidance

My declaration is to daily put on the armor of God and obediently live each moment to please Him.
