Great Joy
Proverbs 10:19, 13:5, James 3:5-8, Psalms 141:3, Matthew 15:18
One thing that a person generally does each day is talk. We are reminded in the Bible to guard, think, and be wise in the words spoken and at the timing in which one speaks. It is our opportunity and joy to encourage and lift others as important words are shared. The load that many carry each day cannot be taken away, but kind and helpful words can be spoken to lighten the burdens. Many times it is the desire of a person to hear words of encouragement and concern rather than to speak these words to one in need. However, we are taught many times in the Bible that it is a great joy to invest in others by speaking words of concern, blessing, and refreshment. Surely, we will know someone that needs kind and lifting words today.
Prayer: Lord, use my lips today to bring Your refreshing message to those in need. Open my eyes to see. Thank You, Lord, for using me this way today.
