In The Storm
Psalms 46:1, 59:16, Nahum 1:7, Romans 5:3-5, James 1:2-4, II Corinthians 4:17
There are times in life when it seems that our life ship will sink in the storms of life and, as the disciples, we begin to wonder where God is and how He will work. However, we are reminded many times in the Bible that God knows the way and has a plan (Romans 8:28). The Apostle Paul had many “storms” and challenges but he continued to trust the Lord and relied on the Lord’s power and provision. It is true that we may never know all that God is doing in and through life but we can:
Trust the Lord
Lean on Him in the dark hours
Expect His grace to sustain and give us the courage to go on
For it is as one has written years ago, “my Lord knows the way that through the wilderness, all we have to do is follow.” Or as John Sammis wrote, “trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
