It Does Matter: Words

Psalms 141:3, 19:14, James 1: 19,26, 3:3-5, Colossians 4:6, Psalms 34:13

There are people who talk or say a lot of words but do not say hardly anything worthwhile. Then there are those who choose not to talk and they isolate themselves.  It is wise not to be either of the above but to speak words that are:

• True

• Honest

• Godly

• Helpful

• Kind

• Merciful

One can be an instrument in God’s hand and do our Lord’s will each hour of the day.  Words that are spoken can be from the Lord and helpful to others… or they can be hurting, self-centered, and destructive.  In a few moments, one can have the joy of being used by God to be a light in the dark world if they choose to obey the Bible and speak as the Lord leads.

Prayer: Lord, guard my mouth. As I yield to Your leading, may I speak words that honor You and help others this day.
