No One Like Jesus

I Peter 5:7, Matthew 11:28, Psalms 55:22, Philippians 4:6, Deuteronomy 31:8

They took me to the room where I was to lodge for the next few days while I was to minister the Word. As my guide approached the door I saw a plaque that read, “the Charles Weigle room.” I then remembered that Charles Weigle had ministered for many years traveling around the country and preaching the word. Upon returning home one day he discovered a note from his wife which said she was tired of serving the Lord and she was gone for good. During the time that followed of loneliness, he wondered if anyone really loved him. It was during this time that he wrote, the now-famous hymn - No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus, which has been translated into many languages and multitudes have been blessed as they sang it. It is a great refreshing of the soul when they bring their troubles to the Lord and know that He cares. Although it is good to have a friend, there is no friend like Jesus and He cares for His own in such a way that no one else does. The Apostle Paul wrote of the “peace of God which passeth all understanding.” So, go to the One who really cares.

Prayer: Thank You Jesus that You care and know.

Project: List the many blessings of God, thank the Lord for each one, and be reminded that no one ever cared for you like Jesus.
