In The Darkness

Psalms 23:1-6, Proverbs 3:5-6, I Peter 5:7, Psalms 119:105, Galatians 5:16, Isaiah 40:31

One of the great joys for the believer is that they can trust God even when the next step is unknown and the way is dark. For “He knows the way through the wilderness, all I have to do is follow.” In the hours of darkness, one must be careful to:

  • Stay in the Bible

  • Obey the Lord in all things

  • Pray for direction and wisdom

  • Be a useable instrument in God’s hand

  • Rejoice in the Lord

As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4, “let your moderation be known to all people.” It is in times of darkness and trials that one must be careful and tuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit. If one is not in tune with God and His plan it is easy to get off the “path of righteousness.” For it is as we have heard many times, “what was true in the light is also true in the dark.”

Prayer: Lord, open my spiritual eyes to see clearly even in this time of darkness

Project: What is God telling me to do at this time?
