On The Path

Psalms 16:7-11, 37:23, 119:105, Job 23:11, John 14:6, Matthew 7:13, James 1:5

Sometimes the path is hard to follow and one is not sure what to do. There is a choice to be made, a decision, a burden to bear, or what way one sees as a possible path. It is during these times that one should honor God, saturate their mind and heart with the Word, pray for His wisdom, and take heart and courage in steps of obedience to Him.

The scriptures remind one that:

  • God directs. Psalms 23:1-3

  • God leads. Psalms 23:3-6

  • God gives needed wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6

  • God is strength to the weary. Isaiah 26:3

  • God’s Word is light for the way. Psalms 119:105

In the hour of difficulty and question it is the great joy of the believer to have faith in the living God and to do His will. Staying on the path of God even in times of darkness gives one true light in the days to come (II Corinthians 4:17-18). So, stay close to God in times of darkness, for He is always present.

Prayer: thank You, Lord

Project: write down what you should do in times of darkness.
