Praying For Others
Ephesians 6:18, Colosians 1:9, James 5:6, Matthew 5:44, I Timothy 2:1
There are many ways we can help another person but there is nothing like praying for them. Prayer reaches across the miles, goes into areas where one could not go, and moves people as our eternal God touches unknown needs. One should not use prayer as an excuse for not helping when they can do so, but prayer is talking to the sovereign God, and “nothing is impossible with God”. Many times in the Word God:
Supplies need
Protects
Sustains
Guides
Uses
Blesses
Your prayers are mighty ways to be involved in the needs of others and bring great joy and refreshing to the soul. Often we think there’s nothing we can do but we can pray. One must be careful not to be so consumed in their own problems and storms that one does not pray for others.
Prayer: Lord, deliver me from being self-centered and open my spiritual eyes to see people in need.
Project: Make a list of who you are going to pray for and why.
