How To Live Successfully

Psalms 37:1-11, Psalms 1:1-3, Proverbs 16:3, I Kings 2:3

Many plans are available today which suggest that a person can be successful and effective if they do a certain thing, read the prescribed materials, take certain pills, and on and on. Many sellers of these “promises” have made a great name for themselves and a lot of money. However, the buyers are still looking for the promises of success and effectiveness to be fulfilled. But in Pslam 37:1-11 there is a list of what a person must do according to God:

• Trust in Him

• Always do good

• Delight in the Word and Ways of God

• Rest in His Word and timing

• Wait in prayer as you make decisions and God will lead

• Do not get upset when evil people seem to prosper

• Do get even think about doing evil

• Wait on God to move

Prayer: Lord, guide and use me today to do Your will.

Project: List ways you are seeking today to be effective and successful and compare them with God’s list.
