Hope Shows Up
Psalms 119:113-114, Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 1:13, Hebrews 11:1, Isaiah 40:31, I Peter 1:3, Philippians 4:7, Proverbs 3:5-6
In the world today we are offered many people, places, and things in which to place one’s hope. However, one soon discovers that hope in this world does not last very long. It is only hope in the Lord and His Word that lasts and gives peace of heart. It is the joy of the believer to share the truth of this hope with others and show it in their daily life and conduct. Hope in the Lord is demonstrated as one:
Lives in obedience to the Bible in life
Lives to please and honor the Lord
Trust in the Lord at all times
Shares the praises and blessings of God with others
It is obvious by the way one lives and conducts their life where their hope has been placed, and many are watching. It has been said that “more is caught than taught”. It is very confusing for people to proclaim their hope is in the Lord and then they live as if all their hope is in the things of this world.
Prayer: Lord, I thank and praise You for settling my mind and life, and for the peace of heart that comes only from You.
Project: Decide now where your hope really is as you examine your life.
