Overwhelmed

Psalms 141:4-12, 146:1, Romans 8:28, Hebrews 13:8

There are times in life when the challenges are great and they continue to impact the soul until one can become discouraged and cannot see any way out of the difficulty. Many times in the Word we are reminded that when this happens to:

• Remember the words of God in days gone by

• Reflect on the power of God, especially in creation

• Pray for wisdom

• Obey the Word

• Trust the Lord

• Live by faith and not by sight

The Bible is true to remind that life is short and often the ways of God are not evident, so one is to trust and live by faith. Only God can refresh and enlighten the thirsty soul and it is as one obeys the Word that miraculous things are done in the life and the Lord gives a “new song” in the heart (Psalm 144:9). Overwhelmed? Trust in the Lord as He moves in mysterious ways and times that the human eye cannot see.

Prayer: Lord, I am so thankful for Your song in the night.
