Loneliness
Deuteronomy 31:6, Romans 8:28-39, Matthew 28:20, Isaiah 41:10, I Peter 5:7, Psalms 147:3, Philippians 4:7
There are times in life when one feels very lonely and rejected. In times like this one can only, “cease striving and know I am God” (as reminded in Psalm 46:10). God does understand us and has promised never to leave us and that we can find rest in the arms of our Savior. It is true that the events and people of life are allowed or brought by God to stretch us and deepen our faith as God directs and permits. We often desire that good and ease would be our path but our Lord knows what is best. Romans 8:28-39 reminds us that God knows our way and what we need for this hour of life. Therefore, we must obey, trust and delight in doing His will, even if it hurts. It is strengthening to know God knows how deeply the trials affect us and He promises to give us strength and courage. So, trust God and do right.
