Planting Seeds

II Timothy 2:24, Galatians 5:22-23, I Corinthians 3:6, Ecclesiastes 3:1-10, 11:6, Luke 8:11, Mark 4:14

Daily the believer has many opportunities to share and plant the seeds of godliness and Biblical truth.  Often a believer is so concerned about the harvest they forget that there is a time to sow seeds and a time to harvest.  The farmer knows that he must sow and care for the seed before he can have a harvest.  So, the believer must allow for the work of God to be in one’s life and heart.  This is done by sowing godly seeds of:

  • Kindness

  • Care and concern

  • Biblical wisdom

  • Wise living based on the Bible

  • New life in Christ

  • Blessings of God

In this day and time, it appears that - in the mind and hearts of many people - it takes the seed of truth longer to grow than a few years ago. This may be due to the avalanche of untruth and worldly ideas that are being planted in the minds.  This is especially true in the minds of young people.

Prayer: Lord, guide me in the planting of Biblical seeds today and open my mind to remember the needs of others and that You are the Lord of the harvest.
