Blessed

Proverbs 4:20-27, II Samuel 15:22, Isaiah 41:10, Ephesians 1:3, 3:20, Philippians 4:19, James 1:7

God is taking careful note of each believer, their conduct, and needs. He is showering one’s life with His blessings in many great ways such as:

  • Daily provisions

  • Strength

  • Courage

  • Sustaining grace

  • Protection (and many other “gift” come from His gracious hand)

So, instead of focusing on the things one does not have or wishing there was more, one needs to center on all that God has given. The grumbling, complaining, irritable Christian is not a good light in a lost and confused world. It is the joyful believer that leaves a mark of godliness on the life of others as they behave and conduct themselves each day. One of the ways the believer directs others’ attention to the Lord is the reminder and testimony of His blessings on their life. It is not in bragging about how one is blessed by God for their good works, but it is the attitude of thankfulness and humility for God’s great blessings that impact others.

Prayer: Lord, help me to see and focus on all Your blessings.

Project: List the blessings God has given to you in the last few days.
