Thanks

Ephesians 1:6, Philippians 1:3, Colossians 1:3, Romans 1:8, II Samuel 2:6, Numbers 6:24-26, James 1:17

It was shocking to watch as the man handed him a large amount of money to encourage him.  The receiver of the funds just took the money, smiled, and walked away.  There was no “thank you” or words of gratitude.  Probably the person did not give the funds to be thanked but it would have been appropriate for the other person to do so.  If people are not careful and thoughtful they are so consumed with themselves that they ignore a kind and appreciative response to others.  We learn from Jesus that being thankful is a characteristic that ought to be developed in our life.  It might be well to make a list now of people that need a “thank you”, and as God directs, send them a note, give them a call, or contact them in some way to say “thanks”.  A thankful spirit does much for one’s life and opens the spiritual eyes to obey the Lord in various other areas.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the wonderful people that You have brought into my life. May I be a blessing to them today as I obey Your leading.
