Godliness

II Peter 1:6, II Peter 3:10-11, I Timothy 4:7-8, II Corinthians 5:17, II Timothy 3:12, Psalms 1:1-3

It is taught in the Bible that there is to be a difference in how a believer conducts their life and how an unbeliever conducts their life. The Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4, reminds the believer to “walk” as Christ would and to “put on” the characteristics of Christ. There should be a significant difference in:

  • How, when, and what a person says

  • The places a believer goes

  • The actions, responses, and behavior of the believer

So it is in a believer that they are “godly” in their words, actions, and responses.  It is not that they are gods but their life reflects that which God has done and is doing in their life.

Prayer: Oh, Lord, thank You for changing me to be godly in my conduct so others would be drawn to You.

Project: List the ways in which you can be godly.
