Living to Show Him

I Peter 1:17, I John 2:6, Galatians 2:20, Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 2:10, Romans 8:29, Matthew 5: 13-16

People seem to be more concerned about what they can accomplish and attain than how they live on the journey of life. So, each day the emphasis for many is on piling up more possessions and accomplishments. It is true that a person has to work, but the believer should live to demonstrate godliness and the presence of Christ in their life to others. In other words, they should show the character qualities of the Lord and His great work n their life. Godliness is shown by:

• The words one speaks

• Caring and sharing with those in need

• Responding godly to the events of life

• Investing funds as His representative

• Being kind and concerned about others

These are some of the joys of a “new person” in Christ and their life showing godliness. It is in life and conduct that people are drawn to the Lord as they see and hear what He is doing in one’s life.

Prayer: Lord, I give my life again to You this day to show Your presence and power to all that I encounter.
