Think Before You Speak

One of the greatest challenges people have each day is saying the right words at the right time. It is a great challenge to carefully consider the right words one speaks as words come so quickly and stay so long. Words cannot be taken back and filtered through one’s thought process and changed. One should ask forgiveness as words harshly spoken but cannot be taken back for words:

  • Give strength

  • Lift or encourage

  • Show the best way

  • Bring peace

  • Create joy

  • Bring showers of blessing

So, it is imperative that one thinks carefully before speaking so whatever is shared honors the Lord and helps others, for words do give life or destruction.

Pray: Lord, guard my lips and mouth to speak words that honor You and help others.

Project: List some people that you will determine to speak good words to today.
