But God is Light

Matthew 19:26, Luke 1:37, Philippians 4:13, Mark 10:27, Isaiah 43:18-19

When the sun is shining and there are no obstacles in one’s view they can see much more and even further.  However, as the day breaks, and new things happen, one’s view is limited. Eventually, darkness is all around and great limitations exist. The enemy of God, Satan, wishes to bring darkness and invade the believer’s life even when there is light outside. If the believer is not relying on the leading of the Lord, darkness seems to cover their life in many ways.  As Andrew Murray wrote many years ago, “The greatest tool of the enemy is deception.”  So even when God is working and moving, the enemy moves in ways to get the believer to think all is darkness and death. But God gives light, wisdom, discernment, understanding, grace, and much more.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for being my light.
