Winning Over Anxiety
Philippians 4:4-8, II Corinthians 5:17, Proverbs 4:23, Psalms 119:105, 165, Romans 8:28-39, Philippians 4:6-7
Sadly many today, even believers, live in the bondage of anxiety, depression, despair, and worry. This is accompanied by the questions and problems they are facing. Each time the news is given reminds one of the hopelessness that exists. People are fearful of the past, present and what the future may hold. This results in sadness, fatigue, isolation, reckless behavior, and much more. It is even reported that many in hospitals are not there because of physical problems but they have made themselves sick with worry and fear. It is certain that the cares of the day are not mysteriously removed but as one anchors their heart and life in Christ, He gives peace that only He can do as a person:
Trusts in the Lord for their personal Savior
Anchores the mind, heart, and life in the Word
Brings their burdens to the Lord in Prayer
Trusts and obeys the Lord
There is no magic mountain where the believer hides from problems but the Lord sustains and gives peace as only He can do.
Prayer: Thank You Lord for the peace of mind, heart, and life that only You can give and I ask for Your filling to demonstrate this peace to others.
