Praise the Lord
Psalms 119:164, 121:1-2, Daniel 2:23, Ephesians 5:18-20, Colossians 4:2, Hebrews 12: 28-29, I Thesselonians 5:18
Each day a person alters their schedule to do many things. However, in Psalm 119:164 we are reminded to praise the Lord seven times a day. With all the technological tools one has today it would be easy to set the phone, computer, iPad, or clock to remind them to praise the Lord seven times. As one is so easily consumed with their list of things to do, praising the Lord is often left undone. The busy schedule has crowded the Lord out in one’s effort to do other things. Just think, His goodnesses exceed everything else and His blessings surpass all other blessings. Therefore, it is a good discipline to praise God and give Him thanks for this not only brings glory to God but helps one to focus on the good things of life.
Prayer: I Praise You, God, for all the blessings on and around my life.
Project: “Count your blessings, name them one by one” is a good exercise to focus on now.
