Wisdom

James 3:13-18, Proverbs 1:7, Ephesians 5:6-10, Romans 12:2, Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14

It is important that one conducts their daily life with Biblical wisdom as they interact with many people and make multiple choices. Many of these choices must be made “on the spur of the moment” and require previous Biblical input and obedience to the Lord. Often a believer thinks they can just rush into the presence of God and get His wisdom on a given matter. However it is in being daily in the Bible and living in obedience to Him that opens the door for the wisdom needed. God does not magically give a person His thoughts and ways instantly. It is the daily, regular input of the Word into the mind and waiting before the Lord in prayer that the mind and life is drawn to the Lord and directed so the believer is “wise” in their ways to know the wisdom of God.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the ways that my mind, heart, and life would be drawn into the thinking of the world so I would know Your wisdom.

Project: List areas where the wisdom of God is needed in your life now
