Be on Guard Today

Ephesians 6:10-18, 5:15, Romans 12:1-2, I Corinthians 9:24-27, Psalms 119:165

Often as one travels they see signs of “caution” that give the indications that there are some dangers in the road ahead. So it is with life.  As one reads and studies the Bible they soon discover that there are dangers on their life journey and they can learn from the choices of Bible personalities that they also must be careful. As we journey down the road of life today be sure to  check for any danger signs such as these so they do not:

  • Entertain impure, immoral, or dangerous thoughts. Proverbs 4:23

  • Become obsessed with “things” of this life.  Matthew 6:19-21

  • Permit “little” sins to remain in life. Romans 6:11-14

  • Hold grudges or bitterness: Ephesians 4:32

  • Let time slip away with no time in the Word. II Timothy 3:16

  • Accepting the ways of the sinful world. I Corinthians 6:19-20

Yes, it is wise to be on guard as one journeys on the road of life, each day carefully obeying the Word and Spirit in all their ways.

Prayer: God, guide me to be alert today as I go down the road of life.

Project: List any danger signs that God brings to your attention now and begin to deal with these areas.
