Dangers
Ephesians 6:10-18, Ephesians 5:15, Matthew 6:13-16, Proverbs 16:16-26, I Peter 5:8-9
There are a host of exciting things each day which bring joy and encouragement. However, there are also traps that are designed to injure and destroy. Therefore, one must be on guard lest they are led astray by the enemy. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6 that the enemy sets various traps and circumstances to get the attention of the followers of Christ and lead them into sins that greatly affect their testimony. With this is mind, the believer must:
Invest time daily to read the Bible - II Timothy 2:15
Check for dangers in their life - Psalms 139:23-24
Stop and change as God leads - II Samuel 15:22
Fill the mind and heart with the Bible - Hebrews 4:12
Faithfully and obediently serve the Lord - Colossians 3:17
Walk and live under the leadership of the Holy Spirit - Galatians 5:16
So, it is essential that the followers of Christ be alert to the ways of the enemy and live in obedience to the Bible.
Prayer: Lord, I do praise Your name for the protection, courage, wisdom and guidance You give me each day.
Project: List areas where you should be more alert to the traps of the enemy and any changes that need to be done now.
