Faithful

Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 23:4, I Corinthians 10:13, I John 1:9

It is true that a person has friends who they can generally count on and who are faithful no matter what happens. It is great to have these people in one’s life story and to know you can rely on their prayers, support, counsel, help, wisdom, rejoicing, encouragement, and good words. There is no end to the words that describe the faithful and true friend that you count on. However, as wonderful as these friends may be, there is no friend like Jesus who loves and cares for His children at all times. The child of God can come to Jesus in prayerful needs and He hears and answers each time. Yes, He is a “friend that is closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24). So, come to Him today with all your needs, praise Him for the blessings of life, and listen carefully to His words of wisdom (James 1:5) and all that He guides you to do this day (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my faithful friend.

Project: List the people who are your friends and thank them today.
