It Does Matter (A Trap)

II Corinthians 10:5, Psalms 139:23-24, Proverbs 16:3, Isaiah 55:8, Hebrews 4:12, Ephesians 6:10-18, Proverbs 4:27

One of the traps the enemy sets for followers of the Lord is that of their thinking habits. We are reminded many times in the Bible to be careful as to our thoughts. Thoughts set the course for one’s actions, words, attitudes, and life. Many people are headed down a path of life that brings regret, sorrow, problems, and rejection because of their thoughts. Thoughts are to be:

  • Captured

  • Focused on God and His blessings

  • Centered on honoring the Lord

  • Set on serving others

  • Obedient to the Word

Thoughts and what a person invites to allow to stay in the mind are articulated to living in obedience and honor to the Lord. So, it does matter what one thinks.

Prayer: Lord, I am determined to center all my thoughts on Your presence, power, and will for my life today.
