Yes He Cares
Proverbs 16:3, 3:5-6, Psalms 55:22, I Peter 5:6-7, Jeremiah 29:11, Psalms 56:3
Frank E. Graeff penned a poem many years ago entitled “Does Jesus Care” in which he wrote, “does Jesus care when my heart is pained”. Soon after, Joseph Lincoln Hall wrote the music to this hymn that has been sung by many both in church meetings and in the quiet of the anguishing soul. In the hour of darkness and challenge, Jesus does care. He cares that “the heart is pained, the burdens press and cares distress and the way grows weary and long.” In fact, it would be encouraging to pick up the hymnbook now and readl all the verses of this great hymn. There are many things about life that we do not understand, but our Lord knows where we are today and just what we are faced with at this hour. Take time now and talk to Jesus about your burdens for He does care about you. The challenge will probably not just disappear but it is such a relief to talk to the Lord in prayer. Yes, He does care, even when the way is bleak and dark. He cares.
Prayer: Thank You Lord for caring and hearing my cries.
Project: List your burdens and give them to Jesus, for He does care.
